As some of you may know, we have been staying at my parents' place since we got married in Sep'05. We finally purchased our house in May'06 but due to some circumstances, we did not start the renovation. Now that the baby is due in Dec and my parents' place is really too cramped with the new addition and a confinement (needs a room for herself), plus all the baby stuffs, its really high time to rush on the renovations!
Hmmm.. according to chinese old wives tales, there are alot of restrictions that a pregnant women should watch out for.. one of it is, no renovations at home?! So in order to proceed with the renovation, hubby and I came up with this arrangment - he will supervise the reno while I will accompany him in choosing of the materials/paints etc. He will go down to the site and take photos to show me the progress. Already working long hours, this additional 'work' will further tire him for sure! But no choice, daddy... jia you hor :)
So in Oct, we began negotiating the terms with our contractor. And finally began the work in Nov, which is only a month before my EDD!!
PS : opps, forgot to mention that my EDD is around 19 Dec 07 keke..
