Mummy, Are You All Right?

I was having migraine since this morning, it was getting on-and-off throughout the day, by the time we left my grandpa shop, its back again and it was making me real sick...........

I badly need a dose of sugar (and still hoped to shop abit hee) so suggested that we go to Tanglin Mall, I was thinking of going to Starbucks for some pastries. Instead hubby said that we should go for proper meal instead afterall it was already 5pm or so.

Much to my disappointment, we went to the food court and I had pasta (cream base) and a glass of orange juice (big mistake!). Luckily Kyrell was asleep, we put him on the bench, so I was able to eat in peace. After that, we went to Starbucks, thinking of having my much desired cake but who knows, by the time we were seated on the comfortable sofa, I was already quite sick and loses all my appetite, so we left :(

When we were in the car, Kyrell woke up but was still sleepy so he was wriggling around, on my tummy, coupled with the food I took earlier and the turning/bumpy ride, I was getting nausea and with a head that is about to explode! When we were mid way home, I could hold no longer, grabbed a plastic bag quickly and vomitted in it - LOTSA!! Kyrell was sitting on my lap then, not moving an inch, an angel, did not fuss or disturbed me... instead when I was done, I put him on the seat beside me and wiped myself, the mat. Luckily he did not get it from me. Kyrell then patted my back, asking softly "mummy, are you all right?"

That was sooooooo sweet of him! I never knEw he can say that sentence and used it appropriately, he really learnt whatever we taught him!! MUCKS MUCKS!!

I told him I was ok, that I just vomitted (good opportunity to 'demostrate' what vomitting is heee). He repeated what I said and sat quietly throughout the rest of the journey. When I was better, I asked him if he got scared because mummy vomitted, he said 'scared' :)

When we were near home, I vomitted again. Haiz... It was a horrid feeling, my stomach felt empty. Like my guts were throwing out too. But I was feeling slightly better. And when we reached home, I diarrhoed abit :(

But but... I was glad to say that I was already ok after that!! What a Saturday!!

At The Shop

My little glutton here wallop all (well almost, 3/4 gone) of the chocolate new year cookies when he was at the shop!!!

Kept asking for more...

Mouth full of cookies and yet holding for more!

Big mistake... I should have stopped him because be developed sore throat thereafter and had throat inflammtion that induced high fever then cough/flu :(

With great-grandma and Cindy 阿 姨

Bags and bags of containers to be sold... you would think that he would 'helped'? Hee.. No...only playing with the products at the shop -_-

Playing with the mold

School Playground

Kyrell did not cry this morning when I dropped him at school because he gets to play at the playground. I peeped a little before leaving for work. He usually plays by himself and is not rowdy. He likes to sit in those car but do not move around himself, he rather sit there stationarily and waits for someone to give him a push. Same for sitting at the rocking horse. :p

Thumb Sucking & His Hanky

Kyrell did not cry today (good boy), let teacher Sara carry and kissed me goodbye. When I fetched him, he was in the music room and the moment the door opens, he rushed to me and show me his hanky (as if telling me first instead of me catching him with it), told me they were watching "Mr Bean". Teacher Salina came out and told me that Kyrell actually asked to watch "Mr Bean" (aiyoh) and shouted "Hurray!" when its turned on!!! This little boy is getting assertive in what he wants now...

While packing his things home, teacher Sara told me that she has not been successful in taking Kyrell's hanky away. Kyrell is still refusing to 'surrender' his hanky after he woke up from his nap, this has been on-going since he started N1 in Dec. I have told the teachers to take away his hanky, this way he won't suck his thumb because it is getting BAD. The skins were broken, there were cuts (he bites, not only sucks), his thumb nail is soft (constant soaking in his saliva) and the bones of the thumb is crooked, no joke. I am getting abit worried.

He has been sucking his right thumb to sleep since he was months old so its been more then 1.5 years, imaging the damage. But the hanky+thumb sucking (yes they come together) are what makes him fall sleep, comforts him, in short, they are his security blanket. I don't even know how to begin cutting his habit off or just take his handy away altogether.. it seems cruel.

Even recently, I have tried to prolong the time to give him his hanky after his shower, the moment he's out of the shower room, he will be asking for his hanky, saying "hanky" repeatedly. If I still do not give immediately, he will starts whinning and crying, asking non-stop for his hanky "i want hanky, please mummy.." then like a drug addict going cold turkey, he will be sniffling, tears dropping, in cold sweat and sometimes mucus will be dripping down... OHHH....... how can I bear not to give in eventually?

Anyone has any suggestion or idea to contribute? I was thinking of just letting him cut off himself, he will one day, some day~
Or should I at least try something out? Like putting chilipadi on his thumb? But will it cut into the broken skin? Gosh...

Walking

See how Kyrell walks, unsteadily, no wonder he always trips himself down heee...

葡 萄 干

This morning, Kyrell cried when I sent him to school, was crying so hard that he vomitted abit of milk onto 陈 老 师 pants!! Then he wanted me to carry him and stayed with him when they were singing. I obliged. 陈 老 师 was distributing raisins to the kids and taught them the word in mandarin 葡 萄 干. Most of them got it right, some with a funny accent hee... raisins being Kyrell's fav, managed to calm him down and he asked for more from the teacher. He was chirpy again in no time. I took the opportunity to leave and he seems ok with it. I hate to see him cry every morning but then, it also means that he wanted me, isn't it?

On the way home...

Baby bites biscuits, when broken into half, Kyrell says that it (the shape) looks like spaceship, what do you think? :)

Saw a bird perched on the roof of revenue house and he says "bird bird on top of mummy office" keee...

Do You Want...??

Out of curiosity, I asked Kyrell this question after we showered, with him lying on the bed, waiting for me to wear his PJs...

Mummy : Kyrell, do you want mummy to have another baby?
Kyrell : (shake head)
Mummy : Do you want a didi?
Kyrell : (shake head)
Mummy : Do you want a meimei?
Kyrell : (shake head)
Mummy : Do you like didi or meimei?
Kyrell : (did not response)
Thinking that he may not understand what I was trying to say, I tried again..
Mummy : Do you want mummy have another baby? (touched my tummy)
Kyrell : Mummy have Kyrell (pats his own chest)

Aww.... tears immediately welled up and I felt "sourisly" deep in my heart!!! Can he get any sweeter? My darling! My baby!! Mummy loves you!!!!!

Actually this question was not post merely for fun, I do not want to stop at one, definitely would like to give Kyrell a sibling(s) but the time is not right to go for #2 now, there is no caregiver....

But I do have my reserve...

Caan I give as much love and time to #2 as I have given Kyrell?

Will I neglect Kyrell when #2 comes along?

Will I play favourtism subconsciously?

How do I divide my time with more than 1 child + work + take care of mum + doing housechores??

I do not want to think about it manz... will take things when it comes along. Right now, I have this words from Kyrell to chew on, I'm contented, I'm blessed~

>_<

(I asked Kyrell again, shortly after, and he seems to ok with the thought and kinda prefer a meimei over didi, hubby also asked him, he did not say much but did not say no either)

A Day @ The Beach

Finally, we are here at East Coast Park. Been wanting to bring Kyrell to the beach but timing and weather were always not right. Today, we set off at noon and arrived at the park with not-too-many crowds, we passed by Coffee Beans and seeing so many empty seats, we decides to go in and have some food first. We ordered smoked salmon sandwich (myself), chocolate cake (chosen by Kyrell) and raspberry juice (for Kyrell+me). Nevertheless, Kyrell gobbled down half of the cake and juice haha... all the while sharing the same sofa seat with me, climbing up and down and dancing to entertain us :p

After a while (about an hr), he got tired and we threw him his hanky and he fell sleep. We took turn to cradle him while he slept on...he must have slept for an hr before we decides to make the move to the beach. It was already 3pm. But weather was great and crowds were beginning to come in but still not too many. We found a nice shaded spot and lay down our mats and bags. Wow.. it had been years since I last pinic-ed.

The last time at ECP was 5 Jul 2008, with Veron and Sylvia and their families, here's a pic showing Kyrell only at 6.5 mths old :)

Have some snack before we start 'work'

Nice and big pinic mat?? :)
