Long Hair

Kyrell did not cut/shave his hair since birth and by now, it is not only getting long, but growing unevenly and in fact, it is dropping! Like me, my hair has started falling too, not alot but because its long, it looks like a big pile of mess on the floor EEEKKSS!!

Anyway back to Kyrell's hair... after much struggle (yes, this is the word for I can't bear to shave them off) and my mum's 'nagging'.. I have decide to shave it off TODAY!

We plan to go in the afternoon, so prior to that we take our time to laze at home and me taking LOADS of his "before" photos kekeke...

(like it will never grow but its true, they will never be the same again!)

Today, Kyrell turns 4 months! And we attended 2 happy occassions : Veronica & Murphy's Wedding and Weiwen & Pamela's ROM.

Getting Into Routine

In Apr, after being back to work for abt 2 weeks, we are settling down & getting into the rountine.

Kyrell is responding more now, smiling to us and learning to roll over.. he still needs some time getting used to be on his tummy though. I have friends' babies who has turned at 3rd month. Well the reason for Kyrell's delay is, I seldom allow him to be on his tummy... cos he has reflux (which I forgot to mention in earlier blog).

It all started when he vomits milk around 1mth plus. We checked with his PD and he assures us that if Kyrell is gaining weight and still drinking well, we do not have to worry, he will outgrow it once his lower esophagus sphincter (LES) is more developed. Carrying him upright while feeding and burping him after drinking helps. And try not to move him too much after his feeding. He also prescribed a bottle of "rid wind" for us. This is to be added into his milk each time.

We followed what he said except only giving Kyrell the "rid wind" in less then 5 occassions. We do not want to load Kyrell with too much medication if possible. We even switched to giving him Friso Comfort which claims to aid regurgitation, however, the powder gets very lumpy the moment it touches water and stubbornly, do not dissolve. So we end up giving him "milk" which is more water based. After 2-3 times, we stopped giving him that and resumed back to his Nan.

Glad to say that, despite all the merlion, Kyrell is still one happy baby and puts on weight steadily!

Emily gave birth to baby Shernice on 4 Apr (Congrats!) so we went to visit her @ TMC today. Did not take any pix of her and bb, loads of pix on Kyrell though :)

Kyrell has a growth on his left eyelid, PD said its eye infection which will go off after some cleaning and med. It does not seem to bother him, no scratching or fuss..

Learning To Grip

I bought this ball during the Taka fair. The purpose of this ball is for babies to learn gripping. It seems natural that the moment Kyrell touches it, he grips onto it :) The thing is, he wants to stuff the whole thing into his mouth hahaha..

At the end of it, his face and the ball is full of his saliva!

Happy Birthday Xu En!!

Its 1 Apr aka April's Fool and also my baby nephew's birthday! Xu En turns one today! Together with Gu Zhan Quenton and Didi Kyrell, we wished you Health and Happiness, may you embark in more exciting achievements in your milestones!!
