Mid-Autumn festival is around the corner (3 Oct) so I bought some mookcakes for my mum today. She likes 五 仁 flavour so I bought 2 pcs from Regent Hotel and some others (yam, walnut, lotus paste and macadamia) from Kia Hiang. They were delicious! But I still prefer the snowskin ones :)
While I was checking out the mooncakes at the booths, the promotors offered their mooncake samples for me to try. The first one was a durian snowskin and it was yummy! Kyrell opened his mouth when I popped one small pc in, so I gave the remaning for him to try, sure enough, he shut his mouth and gave a look of dislike the moment he smell it hehe... The next few booths were offering the traditional type mookcakes for sampling. Kyrell tried one and like it, after that he kept bugging "mooncake 啊 mooncake 啊 eat mooncake 啊" so he had 2, 3 and 4 more samplings! Each time I told the promotor "No" explaining that he is having stomache but the promotor kept offering and said its ok even if we do not buy. And Kyrell kept saying mooncake 啊~ 真 不 好 意 示... but after a few pcs, when offered again, he hesitated and said "mummy eat" wahahaha... after a few rounds, I have finally decided on what to get.
While paying @ The Regent Hotel booth (they have pretty carrier), one lady also bought the same as me, when she carried the carrier, Kyrell let out "mummy bag mummy bag", he saw me taking that same carrier earlier and had thought that the lady has took it from me!! I have placed mine in another bigger bag which he did not know. Aiyoh.. my darling is so protective of my stuffs :p

Diarrhea Again...
Today the Kyrell's school's administrator Christine called me at around 3pm, informing me that Kyrell has diarrhea again, twice and very watery. She said she can still hear him crying from her office. I told them that I will pick Kyrell up. Sent out from email and went over. Lucky thing it is just across a main road and some walking distance from where my workplace is.
When I reached, Kyrell was standing leaning towards 郑 老 师, he was not doing anything in particular, just staring into blank space with his water bottle slung on his neck. I kneeled next to him and called his name. He did not respond initially then when I called again, he turned to me. And was in tears the moment he saw me. My poor boy.. I carried him and find out more from the teacher. 郑 老 师 told me that he poo once before he sleep (after lunch and shower) but it was ok, then a BIG WATERY poo again after he woke up (after his milk intake). 郑 老 师 said it was so watery that it over-flowed from his diaper onto the bedsheet that he was sleeping on. They washed him but he still has the appetite to down one raisin bun which I have prepared.
When I carried Kyrell, I realised that he was much lighter, he has lost so much during his recent diarrhea-vomitting episode :(
I put him on his stroller (for which he was reluctant cos he wants me to carry) and walked to the main road to try get a cab. There isn't any, maybe because it was time for the cabby to change shift. It was nearing 4pm and I could not get through the clinic's line, I have no idea whether they are open or if so, what time they are closed!! I was getting anxious and Kyrell does not seem very well. And it was drizzling abit. Then a cab came and we hoped on. And lucky thing, TMC is just 5 mins away from where we were.
We reached the clinic at around 405pm, with no appointment made or health booklet with us, naturally the assistant wasn't very happy. One lady said "you just walk in like that?", I was not pleased but kept my cool, I told her that I tried calling but could not get through and go on explaining that Kyrell was seen by Dr EK Ong on 10 Sep but is still having the run.. anyway the lady was not rude after that and asked me jot Kyrell's name down on a pc of paper. We waited for about 10 mins before the same lady came over to take Kyrell's temp (no fever) and asked about his condition. I explained with much difficulty cos she was talking really fast, rush rush rush... I almost could not catch my breath "p
When it was our turn to go in, Dr Ong used his stethoscope to listen to Kyrell's stomach and Kyrell told him "baby tummy pain pain" keke... he said it 2-3 times w/o having me ask him to. Then when its turn to stick out his tongue (Dr Ong uses a stick to press onto his tongue), Kyrell refuses to cooperate and was almost in tears. Give up. Dr Ong did not examine further, like the other time, he advised to stop giving him veggie and fruits and diary products. No eggs. No cranberries or such... Stop the med he gave previously and only uses the one he was giving. Continue giving Pediasure (I found out that this is actually lactose free) and if no diarrhea over weekends, it is ok for Kyrell to return to school. For his mild cough and flu, Dr Ong said we can stop giving med for them, it is natural to have it when kids are sent to childcare so treat the important things first. Done.
Medicine prescibed :
1) Pro-4S : 1 Sachet to be taken once daily (3 sachets given)
2) Reutefene : 5 drops daily in the morning
Cost : $90+

Marina Barrage
Today's a public holiday (Hari Raya Puasa) so Jasmine, Kim and our families met up for lunch @ Marina Barrage. It was first time for both Jasmine and myself. Dunno about Jas but the impression I have was pretty good - open field and very windy, alot of families came over for picnic and fly kites. Good alternative to hang out. Though, there isn't much to do/see in the center. No shopping.
An excited Kyrell..
Zavier posing for me :p
A struggling todd, wanting to get down hehe..
Kim and family
The boys were very cautious when they went in, see how they walk, very funny, hehe...

Vomit
Kyrell vomitted last night (19 Sep). 3 times at my mum, around 10pm when we were about to leave her house. When I came out of my mum's room after changing her dressing, he walked to me, covered his tummy and somewhat in pain. I asked him if he was 'pain pain', he did not answer but came over to hug me. So I thought maybe he was just playing with me. Then he stepped onto my lap (I was kneeling, packing the bag), hugged me and kept saying 'mummy mummy'. Then he coughed. The next thing I know, he 'merlioned' onto me, LOTS! I screamed cos I was caught off-guard and that (and the vomitting) must have scared him too! He was crying and we (my parents and hubby) ran over to console him.
Just as we were thinking of how to clear up the mess, he vomitted again, then again!! Each one with loads of whitish fluid which we suspected was the soy bean drink he had about 1.5 hrs earlier. I was totally drenched in his vomit, even my inner ear got it. He was very uncomfortable by now and really scared of the 'mess' he created.
Hubby quickly carried him into the toilet to wash off. He was quite reluctant to be stripped. I followed in and helped abit then when he was done, it was my turn to clean up.
When I am done washing up, I went into the room, he was still not entirely dressed, he was ranchy now, refused to be buttoned for his romper. Wanted me to carry. Shortly after, we left our mum's place. He fell asleep almost immediately in the car. Then we reached our place, went opp to get our dinner (kfc) and while queueing, he woke up and vomitted, twice! We felt bad for dirtying the floor since they have already cleaned up and about to close the shop. We waited outside for our food. When we were home, we gave him some pediasure milk before he sleeps... he fell asleep pretty fast. Then about an hour later, he woke up. I was in the living room and hubby beside him. Hubby had initially thought Kyrell was woken by the sound of the TV and wanted to watch, instead he murmured 'dad dad', hubby asked if he was unwell and next thing, he vomitted again, on our bed!
Kyrell was crying for me and I think he felt sorry for the mess on the bed, cos he said 'yi yi' (dirty). We told him that it was ok. We decide to bring him to the hospital. We changed him, took his med and healthbook and 1 extra romper, hankie and a towel to wrap him and a bag containing his toys then off we go. It was then 2am plus in the wee morning.
The journey there was very smooth, with almost no stopping, no red lights. Soon we arrived at TMC, we registered at the 24hr clinic, it was a GP and not a specialist on duty. But the docter was really patient and nice, Kyrell was quite cooperative. The doctor listened to his tummy and said that it was churning. We also informed the docter about his diarrhea the previous week and he did confirm that there was alot of cases lately, among kids. We were told to stop giving milk to Kyrell for the next 2 days and send his stool sample for testing if possible.
Then we went to the next room and the assistant inserted Suppository into his rectum, he took it quite well. Done. We went out to collect our med and made the payment. The same assistant brief us and advises on what not to eat. Kyrell was getting clingy by then and wanted me to carry, he was changing position and I suppose he was still uncomfortable and scared. Then he vomitted again. I managed to catch most of his vomits into the plastic bag but there were still a small puddle on the floor, my hand and jeans. But Kyrell seems to feel better after that, soon he fell alseep.. all the way home.
After settling him, we cleaned up the bed, took out the soiled sheets, pillow cases and quilts and changed into a new ones. Hubby soaked them and hang out the earlier washed clothes from the washing machine to make way for more clothes. I cleared Kyrell's clothes from the dryer and folded them. Then I fell sleep around 4am. At about 7am plus, Kyrell woke up asking for his 'milk milk', he must be very hungry from all the output, I told him that we cannot give him because he had vomitted, he seem to understand, kept quiet then cries for it. He doses on-and-off, stood up eventually and told us that he 'mmm mmm', we checked, indeed there was. We asked if he wanted to change his diaper, he nod his head and said 'stand up' haha... he's too used to changing his diaper standing up in school that he wanted us to change him this way too. We told him 'no' but before we can finish say it, one of his leg is out and stepped on his poo on the diaper! End up dirtying one of the nakin which we lay on the bed.
I have no choice but to carry him to the toilet with the soiled cloth napkin wrapped beneath him. While in the toilet, Kyrell 'diarrhead' twice, onto the floor, light brown and watery. When he saw his poo on his floor, he looked surprised and said 'shh shh'.. I corrected him. He seem happy and well enough to let me washed him. Then hubby came to bring him back to the room to change while I washed the toilet up.
Forgot to mention, while I was washing Kyrell, hubby took the stool sample and placed it into the container given by the clinic. After Kyrell slept at around 8am. Hubby drove to TMC to give the sample, then went to the supermarket to get some neccessity and brought me breakfast. Around 10am plus, it was my shift to get the things done while hubby slept. There's porridge to cook and things to wash up.
Around 12pm, Kyrell woke up and had his (plain) porridge. He watched TV and seems ok enough, still able to laugh and dance but we were worried that he might vomit again so we stopped him from any movement! The whole day, he was sleeping and when waking up, will asked for his milk and water. The food intake was definitely not enough for him but we cannot have him getting the diarrhea and vomit again.
All in all, he vomitted 5 times within 4 hours and another 2 times about 3 hours later :(

A little dance before you get to work :)
Yeah, isn't it cool, my own power drill!
These happened about an hour before Kyrell started vomiting
