Kyrell Is Now @ N1

Wow... still 2 weeks before Kyrell turned 2 years old and he has been promoted to Nursery 1 :O

Offically from 1 Dec 09, Kyrell will be in N1 class but being last month of 2009, this month is more like an orientation, for both teachers and children to get familiar with one another.

Kyrell did not take it well this morning. When we walked into the centre, we went straight passed teacher Yati's class with Cara, Omar and Kayen in the classroom. Kyrell look puzzled when he was 'transported' to another class, which is opp his previous class, and he looked VISIBLY UPSET~!

Teacher Yati greeted him "Good Morning", he turned away and ignored her!! He was usually chirpy and teacher Yati was his FAV teacher so we were kinda surprised (and yet not so since we knew he's the sensitive sort) when he behaved this way. And this happened for the next 2 days, he totally ignored teacer Yati when she approached him (this was told by teacher Yati about 2 weeks later). We understood that he is too young to comprehend and may wonder why was he 'abandoned' to another class, I tried to explain to him on 3rd day night, that he's older and has to be in another class but teacher Yati still loves him, still sayang him then I asked whether he misses teacher Yati and he replied "miss teacher Yati" ohhhhhhh... this almost broke my heart...... he's so young and yet he's capable of being emotional :(

If it's within my power, I wished I could have him back in teacher Yati's class again so that he will not cry and be upset but behold, teacher Yati told me a bad news, that she is leaving the centre soon...and her last day is probably in Dec!!! Oh dear... what am I gonna do without her there? Though she is no longer Kyrell's form teacher, at least her presence there might help Kyrell feel comfortable and I knew that on some parts of the day, the kids do get together and play, so teacher Yati is still 'within reach'. Now, I am getting upset because not only is Kyrell bonded with her, she is indeed a good teacher to lose - a dedicated and responsible one. It is clearly shown from the way she tried to make her classroom a better and more organised place; she arranged the furnitures, labelled the files and with the kids' cubbies, she also pasted their photos and names for easy identification. She kept a folder for all of her full-day kids, jotting down their diet, the time they had their meals, milk and snacks. Whether they poo or anything unusual. What they learnt in school that day. With this folder, parents can read for themselves on what's going on in their kiddo's life in school which really helps putting us at ease. All these took alot of effort since you are not handling only 1 kid but a few of them. Good Job teacher Yati and teacher Ain!!
Now I just hoped that Kyrell will get used to the days without her - soon.

Here's Kyrell at home, insisted on wearing his crown and playing with the paper flowers on the sofa.
