High Fever

Out of the blue, Kyrell is down with fever and at pretty high level too.. ranging from 38-39 degree. We woke up in early dawn - 5am, to find him feeling abit hot in the air-conditioned room, no wonder he has been calling "mummy" thoughout the night. We were too tired to really take notice because he does this quite often - sleep talking. We took his temperature and monitored him every hour to make sure he is not getting any hotter.

Indeed the temperature went up and by 9am, he was around 38 degree hot. Wouldn't let us paste the fever patch on his forehead either. So we mixed his panadol in his milk for him, he did not finished it too. We decide not to go to work today and brought him to see the GP near our house. When we reached the clinic at 10am, he was at 38.5 degree. There did not seem to be anything wrong, the GP did not mention anything. No cough or flu and lungs were cleared. We were told to monitor him for a few days, some toddler around his age (6mths to 2 yo) will develop high fever persistantly for a few days then followed by rashes after the fever breaks. This will be Roseola. Lets see if this is what Kyrell has contracted...

We suspected it could be due to his teething as he has been salivating ALOT for pass couple of days (even my mum also complaint that the floor were wet hee) and he kept sticking his toungue, making funny faces. And then I noticed 2 budding teeth at the top row. Finally! He has had his 4+4 teeth for awhile already...

We went for brunch at Mcdonald then to NTUC to get some ingredients for our+his meals later. When we were home, he was burning around 39 degree. We bathed and gave him his milk laden with panadol, he finished it this time and he fell asleep right after. The temp dropped to around 38-38.5 degree. He was so much better by late afternoon but his temp went up again by night. He did not poo or perspire that day.

Something we learnt >>> NO PERSPIRATION = SICK

Can you see that his face is redder then usual? His cheeks were red from the fever :(

Doing the 1,2,3!!!

At least he still has the mood to play~
