Lunar New Year is always a busy day for us because we have a few places to visit.
The 1st stop will be at my deceased Dua Pek's house, where all the families from my father's household will gather. My Dua Pek's place is just at opposite block of my parents (Hougang) so its really near my house. Usually we will stay for about 2 hours there, have our vegetarian lunch (prepared by my Dua Um and cousins), chit chat then leave for another place.
This year, its the same. We left to pay respect to hubby's deceased father (my FIL) and grandmother whom I have never met. The location is at Balestier and Mount Vernon.
Thereafter, we returned to my parents' place to pick up my parents and sis then went to my maternal grandma's place at Stirling Rd. Cousin Rene and family were also there. Its been awhile since I last saw them and bb Amelda has grown so big!
By the time its evening, we were leaving for another place (last stop!), my 2nd maternal grandma who stays at Ang Mo Kio. My bro and family did not come along because the last year we went, there will smokers in the house and they do not want to take the 'risk' of exposing Xu En in that. Well, it happened again this year so we only stayed for half hr there. My sis and I left for Kovan to buy some dinner (KFC yum yum) back home while my parents stayed on (mahjong).
Its really tiring rushing to so many different places, and with a kiddo in tow, its double the tiredness, carrying Kyrell since he cannot walk yet, not that I am complaining :)
