Apart from Elmo, Kyrell likes to watch The Wheels on The Bus, Alvin & the Chipmunks and Kungfu Panda. We realised that he does not really like to watch cartoons, not for long, he prefers 3D, animation or real life programmes.
Just yesterday (14 Jun), we found out that he enjoyed the cartoon - The Incredibles.. surprise surprise
We also let him watched alot from Animal Planet or documentaries, hubby and I are pretty stringent on what he watches. No horry or violent show at all. Here's him catching The Wheels on The Bus at my mum.
I bought a Elmo pouch today and he was happily taking it and walking around hee...

Dancing
Shaking head, waving arms, stamping feet, backing backwards, turning round and round... not all at the same time but yeah, these are what he does when he dances!

Shadow + Behaviour
A sleeping baby while mummy sling him to Ah Mah's place early in the morning.
Oh yah, he can recognised my parents place when we are approaching the vicinity. Or when at the corridor, asked him where is this place? He will reply "Ah mah place" :)
Kyrell knows what is shadow and tried to do the dog face which my mum & I have been doing.. hee...
For the past month, Kyrell has been sleeping lesser during the late afternoon esp when at my mum, I think the hot weather has much to contribute. Kyrell does not sleep in air-conditioned room, only fan, therefore it can be quite hot in the room. Of course, another reason is that he wants to play!
He has not been finishing his milk too :(
This kinda upset me quite abit..
Kyrell has been drinking twice a day, morning and before he sleeps, his usual (last) consumption was at 255ml per feed but of late, he has been crying for more after he has finished it. So I increased it to 270ml in late Apr then he starts to finish with about 20-60ml leftover?!! At times, when he is really persistent of not drinking (saying "mai"), there might be a 100ml leftover *faint*
It worries me that he might not be having enough milk intake but guessed we can't really forced it on him. We will coaxed him to it which works most time.... well, feeding him used to be such a breeze but not anymore~
And my mum just told me that this morning, when he could not get my mum to give him what he wants, he kinda scratched my mum's face with his 5 fingers, naughty boy!!
To Kyrell : Ah Mah has been taking good care of you, feeding / bathing / dressing you, even play with you, learning English along the way just so she can educate you!! Please be nice to her and respect her.

Courts @ Tampines
We went to Courts to get our printer ink cartridge today, I needed to print the downloads for Kyrell's flash cards soon! Heh...
After the purchase, we went to Courts cafe to have our lunch. I ordered a laksa while QT bought himself some sort of 菜饭 dish and we have fish & chips and soup to share. I am not exaggerating but the queue was reallllllly slow moving, I think QT was away for about 20mins and it wasn't even crowded!! So the dishes finally came, manz it wasn't worth the long wait, my laksa sucks! Friends who knew me should know that I am no fussy eater but this standard is way below acceptable :( The rest of the food is so-so too.. I don't think I will ever go back for food again.. disappointing.
While waiting for QT and our food, Kyrell busied himself with his own snacks - cheerios, bread and tomato biscuits!!

From here, we went to my hair dresser (whom I have been going since about 11 years ago) to have our hair cut - that of Kyrell and mine. Kyrell did not cry one bit, was very obedient, good boy!

Dempsey + Botanic Gardens
We went to Dempsey for our lunch today, I kinda missed that place, it reminds me of Australia. We like the pizza and pasta from "California" so we went back there again. This is our 3rd time here hehe...
A 8 months old Kyrell here, still no teeth (2 budding at the bottom row), can't walk or talk and just started to eat more solid food...

Same restaurant, same seat but my baby has grown alot bigger now, here's Kyrell at 17 months!
Kyrell is definitely showing more of his personality now, whether he wants or do not want something, like this picture, he wants us to let him wear his cap in the restaurant hee... :p

He fell asleep shortly after his meal and that means I can have some peace finishing up my lunch and I even ordered a piece of mud cake for myself! Then we carried him to the car and decide to make an impromptu decision to visit the Botanic Garden! Other then attending my cousin's wedding 4 yrs back, I have never been there.
While there, we saw this lake where there were fishes, tortises and swans swimming in it.. the swan, obviously know that there is food from us, swam up close and looked at us, expecting us to throw in some food! So we took out Kyrell's bread and have Kyrell fed him. Kyrell was scared at first, did not know what to do, called mummy and looked at me a few times, so I hold his hand and taught him to throw his bread into the lake. He got it eventually.

Bread & Cheese
Kyrell is no fussy eater but there are still some food that he does not like ie banana and cheese.
When he was younger, he used to eat banana though not often then one day, he just decide to say "mai" to it!! We don't know why, maybe that one time we gave him, there is a funny smell to it??! Since then its been Maiiiiiiiiiii
Cheese, I have mixed it in his pasta when he was 10-11 months old, he was ok then. I thought he liked it so I went to get those party cubes, gave him alone as it is, he doesn't like it :(
I would love my baby to grow up eating a variety of food, thank god he loves his greens, so cheese is one food that I would want him to try accept again. This morning I decide to make some cute bread+cheese to entice him, using the bento cutters which I have just received 2 days.
Nothing fanciful, just some star/heart/cross shapes and face for a start :)
Just called home to ask my mum about his reaction, he wants the bread all right (he loves bread!!) but not the cheese, he was hesitating when he took the bread+cheese so my mum just stuffed the whole thing in keke...no chance to think baby!

Bento Moulds & Cutters + Flash Card Time
I have finally collected my bento moulds/cutters!! They were placed sometime in Mar (www.cakediy.com) and I am glad that the long wait is all worth it. Aint they cute? I hope I can start my bento project soon :)

Baby Giselle's 1st Month
My cousin Jojo gave birth to her 1st girl last month on 25 Apr. Baby Giselle celebrates her 1st month with family and friends at Serangoon Garden Country Club over a buffet dinner. The function room was spacious and because there wasnt't a overly crowded list of guests, it was very warm and cosy. Kyrell was thrilled to see his beloved 舅舅 and with some many kids around, he got excited in no time! He had dinner first before we let him off his stroller... then it was running and screaming all the way :p

Chef In Making??
Finally had the time to fix up the cooking/kitchen set I bought a week earlier.
Kyrell don't really know what to do with it but was opening the oven door and taking the plates/cups/pans/cutleries in and out.
PS : Please pardon Kyrell for not wearing his clothes, he was in his pj and feeling hot so I undressed him and let him play awhile more hehe...

Kyrell : then pour the water and ingredients in
Kyrell : stir abit

Kyrell : let me stir them thoroughly.. almost done mummy!
