River Hong Bao / 春 到 河 畔

Mum and sis came over to United Square and we had dinner at 三 盅 两 件 after I have fetched Kyrell from school. We ordered Samsui Chicken, Broccoli with Scallop and Home made Beancurd. It was the 1st time that my mum and sis had eaten here and they liked the food. I let Kyrell fed himself and he made a mess out of it haha.. but at least I can have my meal while watching over him. We left at around 8pm+ and took a cab there.
When on board the cab, I gave a hanky to Kyrell and almost immediately, he fell right asleep!!
We did not know that there was Chingay going or was it a rehearsal? The traffic at Marina was jam packed!

We alighted at Esplanade taxi stand and walked over to the carnival, luckily I brought along my stroller otherwise I cannot imagine carrying Kyrell all the way heee... btw, he slept for about 2 hrs even with all the noise! He woke up just when we were about to leave - around 10pm.

So for Kyrell's sake, we walked another round and he was going "wow" all the time. So we left the venue at around 11pm because there were alot of crowds waiting for a cab, we called to book for one instead.

PS : I do not know what button/functions was pressed but my cam just did not work well tonight, there was no flash lights and photo was blurry, I was busy adjusting it even as we walked. Anyway, enjoy...

大 年 初 一

I did not take any photos because my cam battery went flat sob sob... I tried to charge it but something is wrong with the connection and so it was not charged before I left home :(

Arghhhhhhh....Why must it happen on this important day?!! I think its time I get a new one. In the end, I gotta asked my bro to take more pix of the boys with his cam. Will post those he took soon...

Meanwhile this is the only [miserable] photo that I managed to take ha.......At my 外 婆 house.

House visiting for today :
12pm : left house to pick up hubby's sis at Marine Parade.

1pm : reach temple to pay respect to Father-in-law.

1pm+ : left temple to go to Sis-in-law (hubby's sis) nanny house at Eunos, stayed only 10-15 mins

2pm : reached my 大 伯 母 house where everyone (almost) of my father's families were there. My niece/nephew Julia and Xu En had been waiting 'impatiently' for Kyrell :)

We had our vegetarian lunch there and watched the kids play, not much chance to chit-chat though.

4pm : left to go to my 外 婆 house at Stirling Rd, my cousin Jojo and family were there too. Then her sis, Rene arrived at 5pm with her family! The little cousins had fun playing with the toys (Kyrell brought a bagful of them). We older cousins gossips among ourselves :p

7pm : reached my 2nd 外 婆 house at AMK where my parent were already there. My sis came along in our car while my bro and family went home. Kyrell fell asleep in the car while on the way there and did not wake up until we reached home!! Must be exhausted!! No chance for my aunts/uncles to play with him...

9pm+ : reached home.. phew~

What a tiring but happy day, I love Lunar New Year!!

PS : This year, LNY happens to coincide with Valentine's Day, but I did not receive any pressie or flowers, like always!!!!

除 夕 - Part II

We stayed till pass 12am to 拜 年 so by the time we were home and bathed, it was already 2am!! Because I was coughing and had quite a hearty meal at my mum, I did not have another round of steamboat here. Kyrell had fun playing with his cousins :)

除 夕 - Part I

As like the past few years, we always go to my mum's place for reunion dinner in the evening before going to my in-laws for another round of late night dinner.

This year, I arrived at my mum wearing a mask because I was still coughing!! It really saps away all the mood because I have to watch what I eat (I do not eat alot of new year goodies anyway) and I am worried that I will pass the virus to other family members, especially my sis-in-law who's 3 months preggie now :)

Before I left my house, I received a sms from my bro, asking me to hurry because Xu En has been asking for Kyrell since the morning, and when he reached my mum's place, he has been standing at the gate asking for Kyrell every 5 mins haha.. its driving my bro crazy :P

When we finally arrived, the boys did not wait to start playing.

Bathed and all dressed to go to 奶 奶 and 大 伯 place

Big mistake... I should have stopped him because be developed sore throat thereafter and had throat inflammtion that induced high fever then cough/flu :(
