Valentine's Day - 14 Feb 09

Hubby and I are not a big fan of V-Day, the most is just a dinner, no flowers or pressie, the price are just too ridiculous on days like this. Last year we did not celebrate because I was on Maternity Leave and taking care of baby Kyrell. This year, no celebration as well haha... but we do have a birthday party to attend. My poly fren Shirley's girl is celebrating her 1st month. The party was held at one of the condominium at Jurong and only 2 other poly classmates I know turned up - Amanda who is 5 mths preggie and hubby Lingjun.

CNY visiting cum Annual gathering at my sec sch teacher's (Mrs Lydia Toh) house - 08 Feb 09 Since we were in sec 3 (15 yo), we have been visiting Mrs Toh hse (aka my lao ma) at this time of the year. This year however, it is my 1st time bringing my kiddo over! Where before, we were the kiddo (in the eyes of Mrs Toh)... now, I am a mum :)

For almost 20 years, we have been keeping this 'practice' religiously, last year was the only year that we did not visit her - too many of us are either overseas or has prior appointment. I hope it will not happen again cos for some of them, this really is the ONLY time we get to meet up! Well, we managed to meet up this year but only a few of us turned up!! Only Weiping, his wife and 2 girls, Peipei and Us...

Chinese Valentine's Day - 9 Feb 09 Today is the last day of the Lunar New Year and also the chinese valentine's day, we were working so no celebration or any sort. But there were lion+dragon dance performed at where my mum stay so we brought Kyrell to see hehe... he was curious of cos!

Kyrell And His New Potty

Nope, not potty trained yet, mummy have not started on it yet hehe...
Believed me, I wanted to start Kyrell on it since he can speak alittle now but lazy+busy me, the plan has not been materialised but well, here's Kyrell getting all excited with his new 'chair' :p

This potty was from hubby's friend Houwang & wife, thanks guys! I made sure it will be put to good use - soon haha!

A Visit To The Temple - 1 Feb 09

QT and I are both free-thinker, not exactly religious but on special days, we do practice some of the act. Like during the Qing Ming, we do offer prayers to our deceased family, like my deceased father-in-law. So within the 2 weeks of the Lunar New Year, we decides to make a trip to the temple at Kim Kiat (Shuan Lin Shi as commonly known to most of us) to offer our prayers to the goddess, for their blessing for the new year.

This will be Kyrell's maiden trip and me, I think its my 2nd, though I cannot remember my vague recollections of coming when I was very little. You see, my grandparents (and my mum) used to live just behind the temple! They moved when I was about 8-9 years old. So I think I should have visited before :p

New Year Visiting At Jina's House - 31 Jan 09

Jina is my gf from ex-company, she invited me and and some of her friends over to her newly-renovated house :) Kyrell does not seem shy of strangers, shortly after, he's all at home hahaha...
